About

The aftermath of war in Kosovo is an open wound, bleeding still through the memories of those who have suffered horrors beyond imagination. The Kosovo War of 1999 upended families and businesses, forcing those who managed to survive, to relocate, to rebuild and start over completely. Twenty-eight of those families found their way to Jetimorija- an abandoned orphanage in the city of Mitrovica, Kosovo. Through the tales of three individuals, readers will explore not only the political situation in Kosovo, but the power of human resilience in the face of tragedy.
